Details

Dry brushing is a type of Ayurvedic technique that exfoliates the skin and stimulates the lymphatic system.

Some of the benefits may include:

  1. Stimulating the lymphatic system
  2. Exfoliating the skin
  3. Increasing circulation and energy
  4. Helping to break down cellulite.

Dry brushing works by exfoliating the skin. Practitioners of dry brushing rub a brush with coarse, natural-fiber bristles over their bodies in a particular pattern. The idea is that the coarse fibers will help to remove dead skin and improve the skin’s ability to eliminate toxins through the pores.

With these plant based sisal bristles, the entire brush is ethically made and compostable.

  1. Start with dry skin: Use the dry brush on your skin before showering, as it’s most effective when the skin is dry.

    2. Use gentle, upward strokes: Begin at your feet and work your way up, brushing towards your heart to encourage lymphatic drainage and circulation.

    3. Brush in long, sweeping motions: For larger areas like your legs, arms, and back, use long strokes. For more delicate areas like your abdomen, use smaller, circular motions.

    4. Focus on problem areas: Spend extra time on areas with rough skin, such as elbows, knees, and thighs, to help smooth and exfoliate.

    4. Rinse off: After dry brushing, shower to wash away the dead skin cells and hydrate with a moisturizer or body oil.

    5. Clean your brush: After each use, clean your dry brush with warm water and let it air dry to keep it in good condition.
