Hotel quality luxury at home you can trust:
Our raw materials come from FSC-certified forests that are managed with strict standards to preserve biodiversity, protect the rights of indigenous peoples, and ensure the sustainable use of resources.
Our cotton products are GOTS certified, meaning they are grown without toxic pesticides or fertilizers and processed to support both ecological well-being and workers' rights.
Our production partners are BSCI certified, which ensures fair labor practices such as safe workplaces, equitable pay, and ethical supply chain conduct.
All our materials have passed OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certification, the most stringent class that ensures textiles are free from any harmful substances and safe even for baby use.
Our raw material is bamboo from FSC certified organic forest, which confirms that the forest is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.
TENCEL™ Lyocell are fibres derived from wood, a natural and renewable raw material sourced from certified (FSC® or PEFC certification) or controlled wood sources, following the stringent guidelines of the Lenzing Wood and Pulp Policy.
The production process is resource-saving and closed loop, with at least 50% less carbon emissions and water consumption. The materials are also certified as biodegradable and compostable. We source TENCEL™ Lyocell from Lenzing AG, the owner of the TENCEL™ trademark, and are granted permission to use the trademark as proof of the use of superior and responsible fibers.
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are produced with Micro technology, which allows for the production of lightweight fabrics with a flowing drape, a more even textile appearance, and a softer handfeel. The material is naturally soft and smooth to the touch and is unfavorable to odor-causing bacteria.
Silk is divided into various grades based on thread quality. The two primary categories are Mulberry, widely regarded as superior, and Wild Silk. Each category is further segmented into a range of classes based on the length and fineness of the silk floss.
The most luxurious variant, double-cocoon mulberry silk, is renowned for its extra-long, uniformly smooth and even threads.
We use 100% double-cocoon mulberry silk (a.k.a. dupioni or 7A), the most premium grade of silk, for our mulberry silk-filled duvet. This results in an extraordinarily soft, smooth, and durable duvet.
The transformation of silk floss into fluffy fills requires special techniques to avoid a dense or rigid outcome. Thus, each of our duvets is handcrafted by four experienced artisans working collaboratively.
Natural silk (a.k.a. tussah or wild silk), is harvested from silk moths that thrive in forests and feed on a diverse diet of natural foliage.
This silk typically has a cream hue, with fibers that are thicker and more varied in their distribution than those of mulberry silk. Despite these differences, silk — in all its forms — continues to reign supreme in the textile kingdom, offering unparalleled silkiness, softness, and breathability.
Our Natural Silk-filled Duvet Insert features 100% natural silk filling. Each silk fiber undergoes meticulous sorting and cleansing before being carefully machine-stretched into uniform webs. The silk webs are then layered to form the plush core of our duvet. The resulting duvets are durable, temperature-regulating and plush soft.
Long-staple cotton is a superior type of cotton distinguished by its thin and extra-long fibers. Compared to regular cotton, long-staple fibers allow for the creation of fabrics with a softer, silkier texture, greater durability, and higher resistance to fraying, tearing, and pilling.
Given its ability to produce tightly woven, long-lasting fabrics that maintain their softness and strength over time, long-staple cotton is often used in high-quality textiles and luxury hotels.
We use long-staple cotton, specially processed and woven in a sateen weave, to create an ultra-smooth and durable fabric that gets softer with each wash. The fabrics feature a thoughtfully calibrated 330-thread count that perfectly balances softness and breathability, making them neither too thick nor too sheer.
We use plant-based, eco-friendly dyes that preserve the fabric's natural texture. With health and safety as a priority, all our fabrics are free from harmful chemicals and safe even for babies. Every product meets the strictest Class I certification under OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.

Keep a lookout for the GOTS logo on our products! Our certification is issued by IDFL, a globally recognized GOTS certification agency. Specifically, our certification covers product categories related to Womenswear, Menswear, Children’s Wear, Baby Wear, Garments, and Accessories. Soothe Beginnings
FROM LINDSAY, FOUNDER OF SOOTHE BEGINNINGS:
What I discovered as a new mom changed me.
When I became a mom, I did what most of us do, I assumed if a pacifier was sold in stores, it had to be safe.
But after more than a few rejected pacifiers and a long night of research, I found SaferProducts.gov, a government database where parents report actual safety incidents.
What I saw stunned me:
- Pacifiers trapping tiny fingers, causing pain, swelling, and ER visits
- Hidden mold and bacteria from closed designs
- Natural rubber pacifiers causing allergic reactions and breaking down from heat and UV exposure, a choking risks
- Clips and stuffed attachments linked to suffocation and sharp edge hazards
These weren’t one-off problems. They were recurring, and many of those pacifiers are still being sold today.
That’s when I stopped shopping and started designing.Safety should be the convenient choice.
Introducing Soothe Beginnings:
No Hidden Moisture – Clean inside and out with ease
Latex-Free & PFAS (Forever Chemicals) Tested – Non-toxic materials you can trust
No Unsafe Attachments – We never sell pacifier clips
The Soothe Beginnings Safety Standard: Where Most Brands Check the Box, We Raise the BarMany pacifier companies only test their products once a year—if at all. At Soothe Beginnings, we test every single batch. Because safety isn’t just a feature—it’s the foundation.
Our Promise to You:
- Every Batch Tested for Safety (not just annually)
- PFAS-tested, plastic-free, latex-free materials
- Made and tested in the USA
- Voluntary safety tests beyond CPSC requirements
- Child Product Certificate always available
As a parent, you deserve to know the products you’re putting in your baby’s mouth are safe. But with so many pacifiers on the market, how do you really know if what you’re buying meets safety standards?
Let’s talk about CPSC compliance—and why it matters.
What Is the CPSC?
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is the U.S. agency responsible for making sure children’s products, like pacifiers, are tested for hazards like lead, phthalates, flammability, and more.
If a pacifier is CPSC compliant, it means it’s been tested to meet standards—specifically things like:
- Lead and phthalate limits
- Pacifier-specific design rules (like shield size and ventilation holes)
- Small parts testing (to reduce choking risk)
- Tracking labels
And in our case… PFAS testing (not required, but we do it anyway)
Does the Soothe Beginnings Pacifier Meet These Standards?
Yes. In fact, we go above what’s required with added tests and frequency.
I’ve posted our Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) below, so you can see the exact safety standards our product is tested to meet—including:
- 16 CFR 1511 – Pacifier Requirements
- 16 CFR 1307 – Phthalate Limits
- 15 U.S.C. § 1278a – Total Lead Content
- 16 CFR 1501 – Small Parts
- PFAS (Total Fluorine Method) – Not required but tested anyway for peace of mind

Meli Wraps
100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton
Meli Wraps are made with 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, because we believe in organic farming and supporting organic farms. We collaborate with a Hawai’i designer to create our own one-of-a-kind prints. We change them up seasonally, too!
Meli means Honeybee in Hawaiian!
Meli means honeybee in Hawaiian, and we make Meli Wraps with local Hawaiian beeswax. That’s why our beeswax wraps last for one to two years and can stick to themselves to make envelopes, fit oddly shaped containers, and help replace sandwich bags! Making our beeswax wraps with local Hawaiian beeswax also means we are helping to support local beekeepers and ensure the survival of local hives. Bees are essential to life, and we want to make sure our super pollinators are around for future generations. Because we use only natural and organic materials to make Meli Wraps, they’re even compostable!
Meli Wraps + Surfrider Foundation
Meli Wraps is dedicated to our oceans and we’ve been working with the Surfrider Foundation with donations, beach cleanups, and product donations to support cleaner, more diverse oceans worldwide. Every purchase you make helps us all enjoy cleaner oceans!
Reducing Plastic Waste One Wrap at a Time
We estimate we’ve helped keep over a million pounds of plastic out of the oceans and landfills by replacing single use plastic wrap and plastic sandwich bags with reusable beeswax wraps. Each beeswax food wrap lasts for 150 washes and can replace several rolls of plastic wrap and hundreds of plastic sandwich bags! Buying Meli Wraps for your family’s leftovers, snacks, and lunches is an easy way to help our planet be free from plastic waste.
Made in Hawai’i with Aloha
Meli Wraps are proudly made in Hawai’i with Hawaiian beeswax. We believe in helping to create the communities we live in, and for us that means creating jobs. We employ locals to design our prints, make our wraps, and ship orders. And our goal is to keep creating jobs by growing and adding new products that help us all rethink the way we live plastic free!
